California mother sues school district teacher for misleading her daughter about being transgender School settles for $100,000

Recently, a California mother's legal action against the school district where she lives was initially successful after teachers secretly misled her 11-year-old daughter into believing she was a transgender boy a few years ago. This not only deprived the parents of an education, but also created a rift between mother and daughter. The school has now decided to settle the case by offering compensation.

According to reports, Spreckels Unified School District of Central Monterey County, California student Alicia was in 7th grade in 2019 when she was notified that she had bisexual tendencies because she didn't know "who she was on the inside." Subsequently, and without knowing it, Alicia was passively subjected to the secretive "transgender cosmetic education" offered by the school. She was also coached to join an LGBTQ club masquerading as the "You Be You" Equality Club.

According to Alicia's mother, Corinne, the club was run by Buena Vista High School teachers, Erdella and Baraki. They first "planted a seed" in her daughter's head - that it was bisexual - and then proceeded to convince her that she was actually a boy and allowed her gender-neutral access to the restroom at school. Even more disturbing, the school went so far as to change the child's name and pronouns to a boy without informing the parents.

When Conan found out that her daughter was identifying as male and socially transitioning, she was saddened and said, "They took away my ability to educate my children. Conan added that Alicia never mentioned to her that "I'm changing my name or that I'm transgender," and only once mentioned "bisexuality! But the school simply changed her personal documents, her gender, her name, her e-mail, "even her birth name on her medical records."

For this reason, Conan decided to sue the school district in early 2022. And after the school's closure during COVID-19, Alicia is glad to be free of the influence of her teachers and school, and to re-identify herself as a girl. For now, the California single mother has asked the Center for American Freedom to reach a $100,000 settlement with the school district on her behalf, but she's not giving up on fighting for more rights for other parents.

They [the children] need to know their place and stay in their place," she said." Three years ago, she was oblivious to the school's inclusion of her daughter in some kind of club, the literature teacher offered, and the "gender support program" developed by administrators. "Schools in general are terrible now. So I'm going to keep fighting."

These incidents have aroused widespread concern in the community and sparked off a debate on gender issues in the education system. In the process, people have begun to reflect on how schools should deal with the issue of students' gender identity, and how parents should participate in and supervise their children's education process.

These incidents also remind us that education should be an environment that respects the rights of parents and the physical and emotional well-being of children. Parents should have the right to know what their children are facing at school and to be involved in their education. At the same time, schools should respect the views and values of parents and ensure the safety and well-being of students.

These incidents have also reminded us that gender issues should not be the focus of school education, and that more efforts should be put on providing quality education and nurturing children's academic ability and moral qualities. It is hoped that these incidents will arouse more concern and discussion and promote reform and progress in the education system.
