Doctor Who Season 14 Preview: meet the Master of the Jinkx Season, a cool sci-fi feast
With the start of Doctor Who's 14th season, we're in for a whole new era, not only because Ncuti Gatwa is the Fifteenth Doctor, but also because Russell T Davies is back with a bang. This season, we've seen the arrival of an era of cool.
From "Space Babies" in the first episode to "The Devil's Chord" in the second, this season of Doctor Who has upped the ante in terms of stakes and storylines. In the second episode, we witnessed Jinks Quartermaster take on the role of a hilarious, brazen, and vicious Master, giving the audience a thrilling performance. Dramatic in every line, every choice and every scene, Typhoon is a sight to behold on screen, making him the perfect foil to Gatwa's Doctor.
Unlike the villains of past seasons, the Master is not entirely focused on the Doctor. Instead, he seems to have no fear of the Doctor, even laughing, mocking and challenging him in front of him. This makes the Master one of the greatest antagonists in the Doctor Who series.
The Master was exciting as a cool sci-fi character. We sat on the edge of our seats in anticipation of what was to come.
Here are a few of our favorite moments from the first episode of Doctor Who and updated with new episodes every Friday on Disney+.
