'Jurassic World 4' Confirmed to Star Jonathan Bailey

Jonathan Bailey to Star in 'Jurassic World 4' and Shares His Excitement for the Role

Jonathan Bailey, a British actor out of the closet, recently announced on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that he will be playing the lead role in the upcoming dinosaur thriller Jurassic World 4. The 36-year-old actor is thrilled to be a part of the movie and joked that he's "freaking out" about the role. Bailey scored his breakthrough role in Netflix's hit TV series Bridgetown and is set to star in an adaptation of Cult.

Bailey revealed that he posted a photo of himself riding around Universal Studios in Los Angeles on Instagram in April when he found out he had been offered a role in Jurassic World 4, but he had to "keep it a secret" until now. He recalled watching Jurassic Park with his family when he was young and said the movie had been a nightmare for 30 years, which has now come true.

According to Deadline, Bailey will join Scarlett Johansson and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in the lead roles in the dinosaur hijinks. Stars from earlier movies, including Chris Parratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern, are not expected to return.

Bailey also recently starred in the third season of Heartland, in which he played scholar Jack Maddox. Speaking to Variety, he said that, like many others, he thinks Heart Stuff is one of the greatest and most beautiful gifts to many people, and that the show has really changed the way people grow up and communicate around their identity. He emphasized that Heart Stuff isn't just helpful to the LGBT+ community, but to every family member who has a member of the LGBT+ community - it's helpful to all of us.

Jurassic World 4 is scheduled to open on July 2, 2025. The addition of Jonathan Bailey to the cast of this long-awaited movie certainly adds to the anticipation of what he will do on the big screen.
